Reworking of an old piece

(Posted to RATS on Friday, but forgot to crosspost. And I didn't even have to flu shot for easy blame then.)

Summary: A confrontation in a subway station brings out the worst, and the best, in people
Author's notes: Apparently, my non-fanfic muse has taken a vacation to Hawaii or something. Anyway, I decided to lure her back by going over old stuff, and at least got a postcard. This story was originally written pre-RATS, but I upon re-reading, I wasn't quite happy with it. The characterization was a bit off, the ending wasn't even really there etc. So here's the revised, edited, now with a brand new and better ending! version. (Also, Mods: please slap me if this doesn't count for the challenges! Not sure on the rule for that.)
